Winton joins management team

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Winton as our new assistant manager.

Chris is an UEFA ‘A license’ coach and joins us from Walton Casuals having also worked on the backroom staff at Kings Langley. He is a highly respected coach and renowned for his player development and attention to detail.

City boss Ian Allinson said on the appointment: “We had a number of potential candidates interested in the role but felt Chris was by far the best suited to the job.”

The media team caught up with Chris and he’s keen to get started in the role.

“I’m really excited to be joining a club with such a great heritage. The quality in the squad excites me, along with the plans for developing the club’s academy and youth set up. Working with this group of players is going to be a wonderful opportunity and one I’m ready to embrace.”

Chris will join us tomorrow for The Buildbase FA Trophy third qualifying game away to Welling United and will take his first training session on Tuesday night.
