The Saints fell to a 4-1 defeat against Torquay United at Plainmoor on Tuesday evening, with the full-time outfit picking up a deserved three-points.
The Gulls took the lead within six minutes when Jamie Reid found the bottom corner with a well placed strike. However, the Saints were level three minutes later when the ball fell to Clovis Kamdjo in the box and the midfielder took a touch before sending a half-volley past the goalkeeper.
That was as good as things got for City and the home side re-took the lead in the fourteenth minute when Tom Bender turned a cross from the left into his own net.
Reid grabbed his second and Torquay’s third of the game with another well placed effort from the edge of the box.
The scoring was completed three minutes later through Jake Andrews, who saw his low strike from beat Snedker from eight yards out.
