Saints secure point against Rebels

City made it two games unbeaten with a 1-1 draw against Slough Town at Arbour Park on Saturday.

The hosts took the lead just before the break through Matt Lench, who struck with a speculative effort from distance.

The Saints survived further pressure and equalised after the interval when Joe Iaciofano was in the right place to poke the ball home from Bobson Bawling’s low cross.

Substitute Albert Adu, who had come on for Rhys Murrell-Williamson, went closest to snatching all three points. The forward worked the ball down the left brilliantly with Bawling before cutting onto his right foot and curling an effort goal wards that crashed off the bar.
