Having started the season with two draws, the Saints will be looking to pick up their first three points of the season when they travel to Champion Hill to take on Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday.
Tuesday night’s draw saw the Saints take the lead inside the opening quarter of an hour through Joe Iaciofano’s first goal for the club, however the hosts grew into the game and eventually levelled things up just past the hour mark.
City survived further pressure from the Darts and could have won the match with less than five minutes left through Sam Merson, but the substitute saw his spectacular 25 yard drive crash off of the bar and onto the line before a defender managed to scramble the ball away.
Dulwich Hamlet, meanwhile, have started the new campaign impressively with two wins out of two against Tonbridge Angels and Wealdstone.
The mid-week victory against Wealdstone at Champion Hill was decided by Richard Orlu’s 21st minute strike, his first for the Hamlet having joined in the summer from Welling United.
Manager Gavin Rose has overseen a number of new arrivals at the South London club including those of striker Danny Mills, French centre-half Yannis Ambroisine and wide-man Lewis White, who was recently released by Millwall.
The Saints will be coming up against former City men Dipo Akinyemi and Kieran Monlouis tomorrow. Akinyemi has scored 27 goals over three different spells with the Hamlet, while Monlouis has joined the club following his release from Hemel Hempstead Town.
City boss Ian Allinson goes into this game with no fresh injury concerns and will have a full squad to choose from after Tom Bender served the last game of his suspension in mid-week.
Kick-off at Champion Hill is 3pm and we hope you’ll be there backing the boys! If you can’t make the game, we’ll have full coverage on our social media channels.
Admission prices: £12 Adults, £5 Concessions and U13’s free. A large crowd is expected and supporters are urged to arrive early to avoid the queues.
