The Saints extended their unbeaten run to five matches with a 3-0 win at Clarence Park against Weston-super-Mare.
The Saints were 2-0 ahead inside the opening 20 minutes. The first goal was scored in the 14th minute after a great counter-attacking move by the Saints that started with Solomon Sambou winning the ball in the Saints’ penalty area and finished with Charlie Walker firing a shot past a stationary Luke Purnell in the Weston goal. Another good passing move allowed Shaun Lucien to extend the lead in the 18th minute after he finished the move by placing a shot well beyond the reach of Purnell.
The Saints further extended their lead in the 31st minute when Zane Banton was adjudged to have been fouled in the penalty area. Banton stepped up to take the penalty but had to score twice from the spot after the referee decided a re-take was required due to Lucien encroaching into the penalty area.
The Saints are next in action when they play their final home game of the season against East Thurrock United. Kick off 3.00pm.
