Saints 1 Bognor Regis Town 2

Bognor Regis picked up only their third victory of the season on Saturday afternoon.

The Rocks started the game well and opened the scoring when the impressive Kristian Campbell timed his run to perfection and planted a header past Dean Snedker from a Ben Swallow corner.

That goal galvanised St Albans, who started to put the pressure on but Sam Merson and David Noble were denied by excellent last-ditch tackles.

The host continued to get forward and the equaliser came in the 33rd minute when Zane Banton and Solomon Sambou combined well before Sambou powered into the box, put a ball into the goalmouth and Merson side-footed it home.

However, Bognor did not let their heads drop and took the lead again a minute before the half-time break.

Another corner was played in and this time it found its way to Dan Beck, who hit a strike that took a heavy deflection off a defender and beat Snedker.

Bognor almost extended their lead in the 60th minute but striker Ibra Sekaja put an effort wide with only the City goalkeeper to beat.

St Albans struggled to break down the Bognor defence and in the end it was a comfortable away victory for the previously struggling Rocks.
