Ben Martin is a 6′ 7″ defender who has had several spells as Saints player.

He started his career with Harpenden Town before moving to Aylesbury United. He signed for Swindon Town shortly before the 2003/2004 season after a successful trial spell and was handed a one year deal in order to prove himself in professional football. He played just one game for the Swindon Town, coming on as a substitute in a 2-1 defeat in the LDV Vans Trophy at Boston on 15th October 2003, in an unfamiliar centre forward role. After two loan spells at Lincoln and Farnborough, he was released at the end of his contract and joined the Saints after having been on loan at Farnborough.

Ben left the Saints at the end of 2014 to join Ian Allinson’s Boreham Wood in their promotion winning season. However, he returned to re-sign for the Saints in the summer of 2015. Ben was released by the club in March 2017.
