Club statement – suspension of league

In response to the news that the National League has suspended all football until the 3rd April, St Albans City Football Club would like to make the following statement and are in full support of this stance.

Club secretary Leigh Page said: “These are clearly unprecedented times and we, of course, support the league’s decision. The health of our players, officials and supporters along with those from the wider public is of paramount importance and that is where our focus is”.

“We initially made contact with the National League last week highlighting our position and we’re pleased to have now received confirmation that all football at this level is to be postponed until such time that all concerns over Coronavirus have passed”.

Everyone at St Albans City Football Club would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters for their understanding and hope you stay safe and well during this difficult time and carry on following the most updated advice from the Government.

We will keep you regularly updated, be kind to each other and look out for those that find themselves in vulnerable situations. We’ll see you all soon.
