Tuesday night saw Dean Snedker, Ben Wyatt and David Moyo represent the FA in a special anniversary game against a Bedfordshire FA side at Kenilworth Road.
All three started for the FA XI and it was Snedker who made the biggest impact in the first forty-five, being called upon to make a finger tip save low to his left from Connor Furlong before turning away Shaun Lucien’s rasping drive.
However, despite the City stopper’s best efforts the FA XI found themselves 2-0 down at the interval.
Moyo, who linked well with David Agiboye throughout the first half, was denied a goal by goalkeeper Sam Donkin who was off his line quickly and blocked the forward’s effort.
Snedker was replaced at half-time by Oxford City and former Luton Town man Craig King, while Moyo was also substituted at the interval after being on the end of a heavy tackle late on in the half, although it is expected he will be fit for Saturday’s game away at Bath City.
Ben Wyatt remained on the pitch for the whole 90 minutes and played his part as the FA XI came from two goals behind to win 3-2. The City man looked comfortable in a midfield role and saw two efforts saved by Donkin, one of which came after a defence splitting run through the heart of the Bedfordshire FA side.
