Allinson thanks supporters

Ian Allinson spoke exclusively to stalbanscityfc.com this morning and was full of praise for the Saints supporters that made the trip to Surrey for last night’s game against Woking.

I thought the fans were fantastic last night from the first minute, they really got behind us and made themselves heard throughout, which was a huge boost for us staff and the players during the game

The boss went further, adding.

It’s always great to have a vocal support behind you and I know the lads in the dressing room really appreciate it, and it’s great for the new boys who arrived in the summer to be made to feel so welcome too. You saw at the end of the game when the players went over to the supporters just how much it meant to both.

Allinson was also keen to praise the club as a whole.

Woking was always going to be a difficult place to go but I thought the players and supporters responded well and everyone associated with the club can hold their heads high this morning with how they conducted themselves

Before he looked forward to our next two fixtures.

I hope we can see similar support away at Weston on Saturday before a tough home game against Hampton next Tuesday. The lads in the dressing room love the supporters getting behind them and we really need the fans to be with us throughout the season, particularly given how strong the division is this season.
